Chillin in the surf

Down in Avila Beach for the week with family and brought the fly rod and a bunch of surf perch flies. The perch were biting and the weather was nice. The magic color so far is black and red..... big thanks to the other fly fisher who clued me in!!

Nice post......with great photos.

We use to drive down to Redondo Beach / King's Harbor in the winter for Bonito, Calico bass and Barracuda. There was a pier in a little harbor with and tackle shop and floating bait barges plus boat rentals.
