Lower Yuba River 12/13/15

Fished the Sycamore area Sunday for a couple hours for nada. Had the place to myself and kind of got worried it's closed because there was no one else around. Yuba is never that way-

Anyone know if it's closed? Cant tell from regs for sure.

The only section of the Yuba that closes is above HWY 20 bridge to the dam from October 1st - November 31st. The Yuba can be a bit of a sleeper river during the winter. Come skawlas in a few months it'll be packed again.

That was my thought too, just amazed how empty it was. Course there was zero action as well so...!

it's hit or miss lately. on saturday morning i got 5 in under 4 hours and lost a few more. however, all the fish i caught or hooked were in a very small, specific area that gets very little fishing pressure from what i can tell.
