There are two new restaurants in Weaverville.

The Johnsons Steakhouse is under new ownership and pretty good and Indian Creek Lodge opened a café that is open wed-sat and is very good.

A few weekends ago we enjoyed the Indian Creek Lodge restaurant very much. Sad it was closed Sunday night, but trust they know their business on when to be open to stay profitable and open for the long term.

We also had decent meals at the new restaurant out at the golf course -- there is an amusing historical marker on the patio you can enjoy between ordering your meal and eating it. No liquor license, but they've applied...

Ate at Indian Creek in October 2018; excellent food, not cheap but great quality. Buddy had lobster mac’n cheese, I had chicken puttanesca, he had a house red, we had corn dog jumbo shrimp for appetizers. $90 with tip.

Be sure to check with Herb and Pat Burton at the Trinity Fly Shop in Lewiston on the Trinity river.

They have a famous guide service and top local fly patterns too.

It is almost a year round fishery, weather dependent.

Trinity Lake and Lewiston Lake are both top fly fishing destinations.

Believe it or not the Chinese joint in downtown Weaverville is really good, and the Straw House cafe in Big Flat is a great place to get coffee and a snack!

Willow Creek has a real decent Mexican restaurant, Bigfoot cafe is decent, and the pizza joint is good too.

No reason to go hungry on the Trinity!
