So many salmon in the river, and the bows are just gorging themselves on eggs. Pretty much impossible not to end the day with a sore arm. Had a few back to back to back fish on every cast, just find the redds and hang on tight when you drop off the back of them.

Maybe 10 years ago one fall Andy Guibord and I were very fortunate to go with Fred Gordon in his outboard skiff below the Red Bluff Diversion Dam for Rainbow trout feeding on eggs behind spawning salmon.

The salmon were up on little shallow shelves.

With egg imitations it was stupid......we just cast on the salmon and we were hooked up instantly without even using any line control or skill.
