Got out of Bodega this afternoon for a few hours. Bagged a half dozen Blacks to 5 pounds. 9wt Air flow, Sniper dredger.

Now why don't more of us go over to the coast for inshore rock fish in the summer and fall?

Nor Cal guide Fred Gordon goes to Shelter Cove up on our north coast for inshore Rock Fish in August when most of his trout rivers are not doing to well.

Fred says he use to use conventional bass tackle with rubber bodied lead head jigs but he has switch over to an 8 weight fly rod with super fast sinking lines and Clouser style flies. He says a long, continuous slow strip works for him.

Maybe we need to have a message board outing over there next summer?
