Seventeen back issues of Angler Magazine from the 1970s, including Issues, 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11-18, 21, 23, 24 and 28. All in good to excellent condition.

Angler was a vital read for California fly fishers in the mid to late 1970s. While each issue had coverage of conventional fishing, its fly fishing coverage – of trout, stripers, panfish, largemouth and smallmouth in California, and the gamefish of BC, Mexico and Central America – formed the core of the magazine. It was focused, intelligent and exceptionally informative. Mike Fong, Bob Nauheim, Nick Curcione, Larry Green, Dan Blanton and Andre Puyans were all regular contributors. Lefty Kreh and Dave Whitlock appeared occasionally. Conservation coverage by the late Marty Seldon was top notch, and the Old Timer column put the fishing in a context that's still valuable. Reading it today is like having a time machine take you back to an exciting, but simpler time.
