This is all I use for fall fish. Tied on Size 10, goose biots for tail, olive vinyl D ribbing, a few black rooster feathers for a wing and a gold bead. It works!!!

Thanks for posting your fly Gordon. You catch a lot of nice fish, so I will definitely tie some up for down here.

Is that seriously what you've been catching all these fish on?!?!

Sheepdog8404: About 90% on this and 10% on glo bug. Soak it in Pro Cure. Only kidding.

Gordon, that looks different from your old "favorite " bug.

HA! I was so close to saying you probably soak it in my last post! I'll have to tie some up and hope that's the ticket for down here on the AR

Certainly looks easy enough to tie. Like my Dad used to say "sometimes less is better". Especially true in low, clear water. So you're fishing this under an indicator? Maybe as a dropper behind something else?

Idadob: Fishing it under an indicator with the top fly a glo bug and this trailing about 18" below

gordon.
you nymph under an indicator with a two hand rod, right>? In some post I saw you mentioned you caught one on the swing... does that mean you just let that indo rig swing out, or was that spey? just curious. hoping to get up there again... chose the trinity this year in october but wasn't much going on. one adult, couple half pounders, and two silvers in two days for three guys.

He actually uses a indicator like when fishing a single hand rod, and swings to... Both produce fish but on the swing you really feel that take! :D

Big Jim: Use the pictured nymph under an indicator using a two handed rod. Top fly is a glo bug and 18" below is this nymph. Once the salmon are gone then swing with a two handed rod and this is my favorite swinging pattern.
