Along with the warmer water sea snakes it has also brought 90 lb. Bluefin tuna and mackerel to Bodega Bay. Yesterday Bob Simms on 1530 radio was talking about the Bluefin showing up all the way from Monterey to Bodega Bay along with mackerel.
The mackerel apparently eat the anchovy that the salmon fisherman use when fishing for salmon making it tougher to catch salmon. But, on the good side, some fishermen are keeping or targeting the mackerel to use for bait to catch Bluefin.
There's always a good side to everything. Would you rather eat salmon or tuna on your sushi ? :)
