Got this 5lb bone in Hilo yesterday. I am having my fall break week off and doing some fishing.

Got this bone in kona on monday with my sister's friend, Deedee. Sorry about the water drop.

Deedee got this pualu, yellow finned surgeon fish on spin gear. I had three break me off. Glad she got one in.
Went offshore a couple of times but only got one mahi. Had a big ahi wrap my line on the buoy chain and cut me off. Offshore has been a little slow. the water needs to cool off some and have the skipjack show up with more mahi. Hope you all have a good fall, Mems.

Nice fish there Don. At first glance at your title I thought you'd fallen and broken something.

Hey Ed, I have broken too many bones over the years. Sorry about the misleading title, I am just on my fall break from teaching and chasing bones. Terry look forward to you getting back over here. We should be able to get into some big ahi offshore. July was pretty good last summer. There are always bones and impossibles (surgeon fish) to chase. Have a great fall, don't break any bones, Don.

Aloha Don,.... Sounds like you're having a good fall break. The Bone is a good one but I'm really intrigued by the Surgeonfish. They're beautiful. Thanks for sharing....
