Hey everyone, me, my fiancee and son are staying in Truckee/donner for a couple days was wondering what lakes are healthy enough to fish? I wanted to try out stampede, boca, and prosser, but the reports say the water levels are pretty low...I'll probably drop by just to check it out but from the sound of it fishing won't be too good

All dry holes; lakes and streams (big and little T) are extremely low. Nothing worth looking at right now IMO.

Reservoirs are good.
Been fishing them with success. They look ugly but are fishing well/

I haven't been to Martis. I manage a couple thousand acres of open space right next to it and Martis is a little like mixing business and pleasure. I'd bet it is keeping its much-reduced height fine but is a little warm and gamey.

Independence Lake is in pretty good shape and should stay that way - Reno says they won't need any of it...this year. Check it out at this site (http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/nevada/placesweprotect/independence-lake.xml).
