I haven't been to either before as I'm just trying to learn the ropes of fly fishing, anyone have any suggestions as to which is more easily accessible, better water flow, etc..?

The lower Yuba is very easy to access both upstream and downstream from the Highway 20 bridge. It was where I first picked up a rod again after 25 years off. Just don't expect to catch a lot of fish....they take a while to get your drift, if you get my drift! :-)

Yeah, I hear you. I've heard they are both great fisheries but both are pretty low on water. Guess I'll just have to head up there and see what happens.

The Lower Yuba is closed above the bridge until January, to protect spawning salmon. No fishing above the bridge for the rest of the year!

The river is in fine shape, flows are low, but there are plenty of fish to be caught...and released...
