Spent the day up on Silver Fork yesterday. Weather had definatley turned, and it didnt get over 55 and there was a pretty strong wind in the morning. Not another sole up there, the whole day.

Water levels were surprisingly high and the water was a bit brown, with only a foot or 2 of visibility. All action was on nymphs and it was pretty eventful early in the morning and then mid afternoon. There was some bug activity mid day, but didnt get any on dries when I tried that for a couple of hours

Late afternoon, went exploring a bit and tried out a couple little streams in crystal basin area. Lots of action, on small flies with small fish. Great fun. Started raining as I left

Great report, Raf! I haven't done well on silver fork in many years. It's good to hear that there are some willing fish in the creek now. Any pics from your outing?

Tight lines,
Gary
