Have plans to take a trip in mid October, wondering if anyone had an opinion whether my time would be better spent on the Upper Sac or the McCloud. Thanks in advance.

I would call or stop by the Ted Fay Fly Shop in Dunsmuir, CA.
Try the Upper Sac first, if it's not on then go to the lower McCloud.
