PB Topwater Bass

Since Spicytuna's little gathering a little while back, I've been hitting the bass hard with the fly rod. Found it to be most effective in those smaller zones between the banks and weed lines. On a recent trip I scored a personal best bass on fly rod as well as PB topwater fly rod caught fish with this beast of a bass. After a lot of self high fives, she was carefully revived and released back into the east delta.

Really nice fish dude! Easily double-digit caliber if pre-spawn.

I think top water LMB in the Delta is one of our best fisheries.

I think many have never seen any good top water bass action.

April through October is probably the best top water time for LMB.

Most guides in the Delta catch LMB on Clouser Minnows as a by product while fishing Stripers under water.
