I was wondering if anyone knew how the fires affected the Trinity watershed? I was on a 64 mile Scout hike on the Lost Coast during much of that and don't know the details.
Speaking of the Lost Coast, virtually every little creek between Mattole and Shelter Cove, and many between Shelter Cove and Usal, still had healthy populations of steelhead fry, and I assume some coho fry as well. The streams were flowing cold and steady, which was great to see. Seeing these wild, remote populations was one of the high points of the hike
