What type of action is the rod? I'm embarrassed to admit I lost my 6wt up at Pyramid this spring (which I also picked up here..)

Sorry to hear! I spend a few days at Pyramid each year. I'd say the rod is somewhere around medium-fast or maybe a tad quicker. Very smooth and easy to cast. It would be a great Pyramid stick w/ the fighting butt.
