Marilyn and I are taking our motor home to Indian Creek RV Park the last week of August for some Half-pounder Steelhead action.

John and Dea Hogg will be going with us in their travel trailer.

We plan to fish very early per instructions of my mentor Al Perryman.

Then the rest of the time we will be site seeing and hopefully eating some good sea food.

Hope to take the big jet boat ride one day up the lower river.

Any favorite restaurant near Gold Beach?.

No boat needed, you can get a StreamTime map and drive the lower 30 miles of the river.

It is getting close.....

Bruce Slightom, Steelhead Spey expert and retired guide from Eureka just emailed me a report from the lower Rogue River.

He said he fished there several days this past week and caught half-pounders in every riffle.

He said he lost a good fish too.

I am very excited to go.....

Bill,

Where did you find the "netting survey" information? I did a web search and obviously am not putting it in right because I get nothing. Thanks

Bill,
Do they still have the daily river closure?
I always enjoyed the Dinkleberg(?) riffle just above the bridge @ Lobster Creek. Too old now
for those hikes down to the water just below Agnes.
Enjoy your stay.

We are staying at Indian Creek RV Park about 1/2 mile from the ocean right on the river.

Drove up to Brookings a few days ago. Very smokey! Continued about half way up to Gold Beach and the smoke seemed to be thinning. Seems like this whole part of the country is on fire. Klamath run is still pretty spotty, at least for me. Going to Klamath Glen tomorrow to try for steelhead.

Fished Klamath Glen this morning. Saw a good number of adult Salmon, actually hooked one myself. One half-pounder, released. No adult steelhead. Water seems very warm to the touch.

John Hogg got a nice Half-pounder at Lobster Creek This morning.

Another guy had done well there the night before.

Each riffle changes day to day.

Water is still warm.

We did the big jet boat trip to Agness today for dinner.
