I booked a seat for the Jefferson Spey Sessions (https://steelheadonthespey.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/jefferson-spey-sessions/) with Jason Hartwick, Rich Zellman and Whitney Gould at the Orleans Lodge. I could really use some help with my DH casting and thought it was a good opportunity to learn from some of the best. Wondering if it's worth booking a couple extra days at the lodge (reasonable rates) afterwards and bringing my 14' cataraft to float? No experience with the Klamath, comfortable in Class III water in the cat. Always the option of doing the Trinity if the K's not producing.

plenty of water with or without floating. Road parallels the river for miles

Hopefully we'll have some rain by then. Great opportunity to pick the brains of a few of the best in the business. Should be good timing.

In mid-November I would fish the Klamath River from the Seiad Valley down stream to Orleans.

The Lower Trinity River could be good then too.

You will be with some of very top people in two hand fly fishing world.

Jason Hartwick is one of the best guides on the Trinity and Klamath Rivers for swinging flies on a two handed rod.

Weather will be a factor though......or lack of it.
