Many of not most Oregon rivers have a partial closure, 2pm on. There are a few exceptions, including the Rogue River above Grants Pass.

Tayler,

Thanks for posting this - been out of touch completely during three days at Cub Scout summer camp, and hadn't heard about it.

Good, overwhelmingly positive discussion on Westfly about this. In a nutshell, virtually all rivers in OR with some exceptions (parts of the Rogue, the D above Mack's Canyon, and a few others) are closed to fishing for trout, salmon and steelhead from 2 PM until sunrise, until further notice. Would love to see how this would go over in CA, where we need this type of restriction even more...

It could be worse. The Deschutes is not closed for most of it's length, the Crooked is open, the Metolius is open, and the McKenzie is open. We're having cooler weather this week, the Met is a spring creek and always cold, and the Crooked is behind a bottom-release dam that keeps it cold.

We need to work to shift to cleaner energy or this will be the new normal. Now's the time to make our voices heard.
