While at the shop yesterday for our Pie & Ice Cream event I learned from my old staff that the store has been "smoken'" ever since the merger.

Daily sales have been way above expectations, doing more volume now than the two stores did separately.

Kiene's and American's staff members have blended together nicely.

This make Marilyn & I very happy........


Kiene's always had a good walk in business and now with the bigger store and larger inventory it is better than ever.

Gary Eblen has had the best online fly fishing store in our area so that really helps too.

We have a growing nice guide service out of our shop now.

We have classes and clinic all the time.


They are also having big events at the shop about every month.

In August we are having a big vender/manufacturers event where our customers will be able to see the new 2016 products before anyone else.

We will also have a big first annual Sacramento Spey Day on the American River with lots of manufacturers and Spey professionals. This will be with Fly Fishing Specialties to make it a huge deal for two handed fly fishing in Sacramento.

The shop is open 7 days a week and does ship out daily.

Sacramento Spey Day

Here is more info on this exciting inaugural event, Sacramento Spey Day co sponsored by Kiene's American Fly Fishing Company, and Fly Fishing Specialties:

1. Below is info on where the event will be held, Sacramento Bar, north side of the American River. At the time of deadline to California Fly Fisher, the exact location was not decided upon for many reasons.

2. The event is for people of all levels of spey casting ability, complete novice to advanced, all free of charge except fee entry of $5 for parking. Donuts, bagels, fruit, yogurt and drinks are provided free of charge

3. Hours, 9 AM to 2 PM

4. Everything Spey will be here, leading rod/reel/line MFG companies and owners

5. RSVP's are required to either store, please, for many reasons, so get your names on the list -
