Nf nfar

Was thinking about going out camping around the NF of the NFAR in a couple of weeks:

How is the fishing up there at this time of year? Much like NFYR, or should we expect something different?

The Emerald Pools ! I have never jumped but I have drank beer and watched people jump. The pools of water are beautiful there.
I have only been in August -- the water is small near the campground (atleast in August and Im sure its about the same now) but then drops into some huge, deep pools. I have never ventured too far from the pools near the campground... you can see fish in the pools but normally there are people swimming.
Good luck and please report back! I have always wondered how it does further down as you get away from the campground. Sweet little spot, no doubt.

It has its own character; nothing like the N. Yuba. Water temp may be an issue....
