Simply the most effective cleat system ever. These things grip! I got to thoroughly test them on the volcanic rock that is all over the McCloud and I have never been more impressed. They really bite into the bottom.

How do you think these would do in a drift boat or whitewater raft equipped for fly fishing? Are they smooth enough you wouldn't have to remove or cover them or are the aluminum bars such that they'd still damage the boats if not covered/removed?

I think the bars wouldn't cAuse any "damage" per say, but you'll definately put a few scratches on the deck
