Settling in here.....
This week may be the week....warm and a few clouds, no wind. The season is early here as well, don't fish the "normal schedule".
Thought Id share that it's game on....and only 10-11 hours away......(The Henrys Fork too...)

Jim, Im totally jealous, and super stoked for you! You will do awesome out there! I've fished the South Fork of the Boise and the Owyhee, but never got that far east......I wanna retire and travel the "Fly Highway"! Yea right! Some day I will test my skills on the Henry's Fork....some day. You are in the epicenter of western trout fishing. Definitely keep us posted, so we can live vicariously through you.

Congrats on the move Jim!
I hope to see the reports coming.
One day we will come up to visit you and have a few beers by the river and huck some bugs.

Very cool Jim. I cut my teeth as a fly angler in that area. I grew up in Salt Lake and my family has a place in Chester, ID on the Fall River just south of you. I spent many days fishing Robinson Creek, Warm River, Fall River and the Henry's Fork. I used to throw bread rolls and popcorn from the wood deck into the no fishing section just above the confluence of Warm River and Robinson Creek and watch giant trout annihilate them. Talk about entertainment for a young lad! Before I knew any better, I used to sneak up and catch big browns on the Orvis section of Robinson Creek. I haven't made the journey in years. I'll have to come fish with you next time I'm out that way. Might be this summer.

Hey guys......
Clark, I frisbeed a couple of slices of borrowed wonder bread (locals favorite) to the fatties on the far side of the warm river....
Then went down to the Henrys fork to get used to the voice of the river..
Standing in shorts, felt something on my leg, yep....a Salmon fly...
About a week or so out yet.....no one came up on my test drift..
The sea gulls are starting to arrive for the event.....
Mother's day Caddis, and some dinky dark ones too.
March browns and midges, midges......
Just heard a Stellars Jay do an imitation of an Osprey....what next?
Give a shout if you're about.
Man.........it's purty.

Aaron...
Was having a beverage at macenzie pizza in ID Falls last night..
Server told me about a cataraft excersion on the Henry's yesterday.
No anchor......sound familar?
I now know why this a big deal...with the big bugs.....
You don't have to know how to fish.........instant fish HERO....
I may wait a week.........Till the emergence is over.......
Right.........
It's been great this last week......quiet and fishy......
Makes the T seem fishless....numbers wise.......not size though....
But what I've learned there stood me in good stead here......
Practice first...then drive.......
