Will Bauer of Redding, California was one of the worlds top Permit fly fishers and a great guy too.
He had a wonderful life with more good days on the water with friends than most.
Will developed the Bauer Crab and the Bauer Mantis Shrimp which are on the top ten list of recommended Permit patterns.
He also helped his old friend, Lincoln Westby, promote their Blue Horizon Lodge off the coast of Belize.

Will spent a lot of time on the phone with me preparing me for my trip to Blue Horizon some years ago.
After that trip I wrote an article about it and the great ideas that Will Bauer gave me before going.
