Here are a couple of rooster photo's caught at the lighthouse yesterday. They weighed in at 30lbs and 35lbs
I dropped two roosters one around 45lbs, and another one about the same as I caught. Efren's rooster was 35lbs. There was a big school of big roosters (at least 10 in the school) and they were eating anything that hit the water. I think this year is going to be another year for big, big roosters. I'll be going back out next Sunday
looking for the retirement rooster.

Hey Jay, that is great news, I hope you guys have a wonderful year. If you can get a 100lb rooster and then a 100lb ulua at CI, you should retire. Nice to go out on top. Mems.

Phil,

congrats on your retirement. You'll enjoy it. No having to rush back from a fishing trip to go to work. I've been retired for 13 years and I've enjoyed every day. The rooster hat was a proto type. There is a mistake in the printing and the new hat will have a full body rooster. I think I will be purchasing my own embroidery machine. Just to have this proto hat made up was almost $500.00.
Bulla's group got a rooster estimated around 45lbs yesterday I know there are some roosters in the bunch that will tip the scale at 50+lbs. They're here waiting for you.

Mem's, 100lb GT - I don't think there would be enough daylite for me to land a fish like that.

I'll be fishing all next week with a guy who couldn't find a partner. So far the wrist is holding out and no knee problems this year. I'll have Moncho as my captain.

All this stalk about Roosters has got me all hyped up. I've been tying some and making some new leaders. By the time I get down there, all the fish will have sore mouths.... ;)

Congrats on the retirement. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have....
