Braided backing to fly lines?

Anybody know anything good about hooking braid backing to the end of a fly line?

Most of the new fly lines have a welded loop on both ends which make it all very easy.


If there is no loop on the back of the fly line I would 'nail knot' or 'needle nail knot' the backing to the fly line.
