My stepson guides with me on our Alaska trips. He loves the ospreys and he just got a tattoo of one - first tattoo of an osprey I've seen.
One of my favorite memories is of a backpacking trip in AK. We were sitting on the beach of a lake, watching for rising fish. An osprey swooped down, grabbed a fish, took off for its nest, and then an eagle swooped down on the osprey and hit it. The osprey dropped the fish, and the eagle dropped down and caught the fish before it hit the water. It was amazing to watch, although I'm sure the fish and the osprey weren't too happy.
