Took the dogs out to the Fall River today. Because of the holiday weekend there were more people fishing than has been normal lately. Fish were caught on small mayflies and very small (22-26) nymphs. Before any of you get your panties in a knot, this was Fall River, Oregon. This warm weather has plants blooming, flies hatching and fish looking up. The local lakes had fish cruising the shorelines picking off those same small mayflies, a few careless caddis, and some really small midges. Saw some really large fish rising, which is beginning to awaken my casting arm twitches. Tight lines all.

So life is good in Oregon?
How close are you to Camp Sherman?

I live next to Sunriver, about an hour's drive from Camp Sherman. I only fish the Metolious occasionally because I have so much great fishing very close, although it is a fantastic fishery. Next month I'll be on the Metolious arm of Lake Billy Chinook chasing Bull Trout that are chasing Kokanee. I think I moved to trout haven as compared to living in Ukiah.

I'll be staying at Camp Sherman for 5 days in the end of June and will have a car with me. We will have to hook up for some fishing. I'll call you as my trip gets closer. I want a bull trout!!
