From what I have read I can launch at at the public park on Chiloquin Boulevard, just below the town of Chiloquin, very near the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson Rivers. Then I can take out at the Water Wheel Campground, just below the Highway #97 bridge.

Anyone ever do this?

Also, any other areas I can float in my kayak or walk and wade. I'll be up there in late June for about 5 days.

That is way to do it, not the longest float in the world but has some monster trout.

PM me if you want some more info

I've done that float a few times - its straightforward. The RV park a little past wagon wheel will even run your shuttle for $20 if you need it. The fish can be big!

The Wood is near there as well and offers fishing mostly for browns. The hopper fishing is supposed to be great but I usually just toss streamers.

good luck!

Scott -

Good info so far.

Fished with Craig few times http://www.guidedwatersflyfishing.com/ ...

Great guide and teacher, I believe he would gladly share info on current flows/conditions/bugs/locations, etc.

Big fish that will take you into your backing.

Post some pics when you get back and hope you spank 'em.

Thanks Charles, that site has some good info. I love to swing flies so hopefully I will at least see one of those monsters. I'll post pics and with my new GoPro, hopefully some great video.

My friend, Jon Knapp, from the Fly Fishers of Davis, has a house on the river above town and belong Spring Creek. He has fished it for many years and knows it and the lakes well.

My friend Al Perryman guided the river for years. I think Al liked July, August and September?

Famous guide Rich Henry guided the area for years.

Old Joe Shirshac took his trailer up there for years. He keep his travel trailer at Walt's Cozy Camp.

Bob Quigley lived in Chiloquin and fished the area for years.

Polly Rosburough was the famous old fly tier up there for many years.
