Custom built by me on James's NTS unsanded amber blank with spigot ferrules. This a medium/slow blank that reminds me of the action of the Fisher blanks from the mid-80s. It is perfect for small closed in streams for brookie chasing. The rod has two butt sections that makes it a 7’2” or 7’4” rod. The 7’2” butt section has a N/S S/B seat with custom turned mahogany spacer. The 7’4” butt section has Struble U-1 aluminum uplocking seat with custom red birch burl spacer. The action between the the two butt sections is very close -- I think the 7'4" has a little more push to it. It has a Mildrum-style carbide stripper, Snakebrand black nickel snakes and top. The 7'4" butt has a nickel silver winding check; the 7'2" butt is naked. The wraps are based on some pre-fire Leonards I have seen: avocado green silk wraps with cardinal tipping and antique gold accents. Comes with a custom green twill bag and olive powder-coated 2 1/2" aluminum tube. Lawn cast only. SOLD
