Just bought a TFO TiCr 5wt Lefty Kreh rod at a very good price. Any suggestions on what line to use. I plan on using this more for nymphing and streamers. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The In-touch Rio Grand would cast the streamers like a dream and still has a long enough head to mend and roll cast as well.

Travis, thanks. This is a pretty stiff rod for a 5wt. I read somewhere that one of the Rio lines was about a half line heavier. I thought of trying to load it up with a six weight line....not sure. I have a Fenwick HMG that I built myself. I use a 5wt line on it and it works perfectly.

The rio perception (which I also use and is excellent but better for dry fly fishing) is half a line weight heavier than standard. The rio grand is actually a full line weight heavier which is why I suggested it for that faster action rod and throwing streamer. You can check out both line profiles on rio's website or you can test cast them both at the Pleasanton fly show in a few weeks and see which one you like better. If Simon Gawesworth is running the rio booth again I bet he'd even let you try them on your own rod if you brought it along, he's a really helpful guy!
