I have been wanting to put together a gathering with some of my buddies on the Delta for some time now. I have a friend who is lending me his Island for a weekend in May to camp out and fish etc... Its a good size island that accommodate probably 20-30 people camping out. Its no more than 2 water miles from Paradise point.

Since the Bass n Fly seems to be no more I wanted to turn it into some sort of tournament since we will be out there anyways.

If anyone has any interest or access to weighing equipment etc.. Please shoot me a PM.

If you do have interest let me know if you have a boat or not. Might be kinda tough to make sure there are enough boats for everyone but due to location we can make pontoons or drift boats work. Just got to get a tow then ride the tides.

Either way should be a good time with some good people.

Dates are May 15th-17th tides are ideal

You can always do a photo and release tournament. Just use a measure board and the 5 longest fish wins. That is how the kayak group that I fish with does it. To make sure no one cheats you give out a wrist band in the morning that needs to appear in all pictures.

Got the PM Ryan looking forward to meeting you.

Scott,

That's a good idea I am still not sure how or if we can make it into a tournament style deal. Either way its going to be a great time with some great dudes. Like I said before any and all are welcome.

We still got plenty of time so hope we get more people out.

So this event has been moved to Windmill cove marina for camping and full amenities. If anyone is interested then please let me know as it will be a good time and I am firming things up right now.

Your really missing out if your not jumping in on this one. Especially if you enjoy TW.

Do we need a boat?

It would help. I am working on arranging as much as I can from pontoons, to drift boats, rafts, and kayaks.

Its easy to get tow or ride in any of those then you can have the tide to move you while fishing.

When we had our two Kiene's message board Delta outings @ Lundborg's Landing it seems like the guys in the little prams and float tubes did about as good as the ones in big boats?

This sounds like a fun event......camping on a private island sounds good.

I guess you need a boat.....

The last couple outings in the delta in the float tube I ran into a sea lion. Nothing like a large moving wake coming at you.

Coming up next weekend. I got twone on board from here, still anyone welcome...

Out of over 2,200 views and two people. Guess people either don't like me (can't blame ya) or Largemouth.

No worries more fish for the rest of us.

I am so glad this thing all came together. Everything turned out better than I ever could have imagined...between the company, the stellar food, and great fishing there was nothing that could have made it better.

I think we totaled 14 guys and 6 boats. Everyone was super cool got along great and everybody got to fish with everybody pretty much the way we structured it.

As far as pictures go I am pretty sure I was Tommy's personal photographer for the weekend, the kid put on a flat out clinic.

Here is what I had in no particular order:

Base camp was the shit, all the food you can eat, two kegs, and a some kick ass company:

this guy went off he landed a 5.0 lb fish then 10 minutes later landed a 6 lb 9oz fish. His first time in the Delta was equal to what it took me over 7 years to do. I think he is hooked now.

Myles even came out and had a great time and worked his ass off helping and everything, my brother done good with this kid. He even landed a PB at # lb 10oz:

Thank you to all that showed up and made it the phenomenal trip it was. Everyone caught fish and if i can recall correctly there were roughly 5 fish at the 5# mark that were hooked and 3 of them were landed. That stuff don't happen everyday out here.

Mark your calendars for the weekend before Memorial next year we will be there.

BIG thank you to you Dave! You worked tirelessly all weekend to keep us fishing, fed, and having a blast. Food was phenomenal! Fishing was good. The evening campfire was even better. Sorry I had to leave early on Sun.
