The California Fly Fishers Unlimited (CFFU) will have Jon Baiocchi, a renowned fly fishing guide, present “Middle Fork of the Feather River” at the meeting on Tuesday January 6, 2015. (Jon is also known as “Troutstalker55B” on Kiene’s Forum). Guests interested in fly fishing are welcome to attend.

Located in Plumas County the MFFR was one of the first rivers to be designated as "wild and scenic", and is considered by many outdoor authors to be the most beautiful river in the state of California.

Jon will explain access points, techniques, tactics, entomology, fly patterns, and the fish that inhabit the MFFR. The program also features detailed maps of the area. You will gain valuable information from the hundreds of days he has spent on the MFFR, shortening the learning curve on your next visit to the Feather River country. This river offers wild trout, exceptional hatches, and solitude for those that don't mind a short hike off the beaten path. This is a fantastic presentation you do not want to miss!

The CFFU meeting starts at 7 pm on Tuesday Jan. 6, and is located at the RICHARD T. CONZELMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento. The Center is in the Howe Avenue Park close to Howe Avenue. Starting at 6:15 pm is a fly tying demonstration by a club member.

The Howe Avenue Park is located at the Northeast corner of Howe Avenue and Cottage Way. The entrance is on Cottage Way approximately 150 feet east of Howe Ave. across from Home Depot. Overflow parking is available at Home Depot. A map and more information is found at www.cffu.org.

All are welcome to come to hear Jon Baiocchi’s presentation and learn more about CFFU.
