Out boating with a buddy on the Sac river today from I-5 to above Verona.

Cool to see over the levees now compared to the usual summer flows.

Water is predicted to drop during the next week.

Hope that may have a positive effect on AR steelie migration.

Best,

Shame they cant stock up on more of this was down south now and not in the spring when juveniles are migrating?

Walter, you might get your wish if Shasta dam is raised and they put in Sites reservoir. Still I think the 'saved' water wouldn't benefit fish though- somehow it would still be exported!

Some of our native fish are adapted to high water like Green and White sturgeon and winter and late fall run chinook, so I say keep it flowing hard!

Best,

I'm "unrealistically" for no diversions. Yes, keep it flowing. But if they have to store you would think now is better then in the spring. Can they do this ancillary reservoir without raising the dam?

I think the answer is yes to the question posed. I believe it would only add ~0.6 million acre feet though? Shasta has about 4 million.

Merry Christmas,
