My fall steelhead season has about come to a close, and what a season it was. Good anglers enjoyed days with lots of opportunities. The swinging was fantastic, as we presenting nymphs dead drifting. We added 3 new floats to our beat this season, and found some great swing water.
I will be focusing on our local waters from here on out, being the Lower American and Yuba River. Big winter fish are starting to show on the American, and more should follow.
Winter is my favorite time on the Yuba. Less people, no more egg fishing, they eat dries, and SKWALA TIME.

Another fun method we use is swinging with very light spey rods. Yuba fish love the swung bugger, and its a great way to polish your spey casting!
