Hello all,
I'm just curious as to what your preferences are for shooting line for both scandi and skagit setups? I've been thinking about going to mono shooting line...

This stuff rocks though a little pricy. For a lot less Berkeley Big Game Solar Green works well in 25# to 40#

For mono, Varivas. Slick, doesn't sink. The OPST stuff is even more slick, less prone to kinking than other mono, but still sinks.

Monic both shoots and handles well, if it's not too warm.

Both Rio and Airflo make decent coated runners.

Vote for Varivas... Just got back from fishing a new Airflo Scandi Compact with Varivas 47lb shooting line.
Only issue is that the Varivas came in 110yd spool, so I have enough for 2 set ups.. so I have over half a $40.00 spool I may not ever use.

Have used Varivas for several years...good product. Recently, I've been using OPST Lazar line. So far, great performance with no down side.
