Lower Sac Muddy

Just so someone doesn't make a wasted drive when I drove over the Sacramento River in Redding yesterday afternoon it was about the color of coffee with cream. I am not sure why the river is muddy but before making a drive call The Fly Shop and ask current conditions of the river. When I crossed the Bend Bridge yesterday it is a little clearer and I would think fish-able but still a little dirty.

The Sac up in Redding has about 2 feet of visibility. Fishing is still decent with eggs and larger flies. I was up there two days ago and the color is definitely affecting the fishing but still totally worth going. We hooked about 40 fish from Posse to Anderson. The color is much better the farther you get toward Red Bluff. In Red Bluff there is about 3 feet of nice green visibility.

The color both at Cypress Bridge (Redding) and Bend Bridge (Red Bluff) was better yesterday
