I've dealt with several rod companies over the years because apparently I damage my gear. Often in interesting ways. St. Croix is one of the best. I sent them a 10 year old rod within a week got a very reasonable price on an upgrade to the Legend Elite Saltwater. I also have no complaints about Sage and Scott.

I owned the 6-wt Legend SW rod for 20 years or so; gave it away to someone starting out and replaced it with the 4-piece
version. Besides the surf, it's seen action in lakes and streams. Terrific rod.
I did have an Imperial that broke at a ferrule during casting. St. Croix came thru with the fix.
