Asso. Made by Gruppo in Italy. Many offerings but a superior product.
I'm not saying it won't be difficult to buy though.
There's a SoCal importer, but he's only bringing in heavy stuff. Maybe you could piggy back on his next order.
Google "softsteelUSA"

I recommend taking a look at the "Tippet Shootout" on Yellowstone Angler's website...good information!

For the past almost 50 years of selling, talking about and using nylon and FC monofilament line it has been an interesting ride.

I am sure during this time there has been hundreds of different choices of mono for tippet material to choose from.

The first tippet material that I remember in the 1960s was Gladding 'Gladel' nylon mono tippet material, maybe from France?

Back then some old timers hand tied their own knotted tapered leaders but most used the Berkley Specialist knotless tapered nylon monofilement leaders for trout.

Today some of our top sellers are Rio, Seaguar and Maxima.

For different situations people use different tippet materials. Spring creeks vs salt water?

If you are using nylon mono then be sure to keep it out of the sunlight and heat.

**Personally I have switched to Fluorocarbon mono because it is supposed to last almost forever.

I have had really good luck with the p-line flourocarbon (not the flouroclear). I use #15 & #12 for steelhead.

Mono: Trout Hunter
Fluoro: Seaguar Grand Max FX or Trout Hunter.
Freezing temps: Riverge (by Seaguar) or Grand Max FX or Trout Hunter. Only Fluoro, no mono!
In my opinion of course..
