Anyone fish the new Sage Method rods? What do you like or dislike? I'm looking for fast action rod.

Magic, I've been driving a 6wt 9'6" since Spring.
It's a red Ferrari, (although I'd prefer camo....) and will throw a big skulpin about a block.
Not a panacea for casting, it will amplify whatever you do.
Good for big dries too, if you can finesse the power.
Fished a bobber on it as well.
Suited for medium sized rivers like the Truckee or larger.
I'd up-line 1-2 line-wts.
You should always test drive a rod before you buy....but if you want fast, look no further.

Magic,
After testing these rods out (8-9-10s) throwing sinking and floating lines in the rivers and Delta for stripers, and in Baja for all the species down there. I have decided that they are the BEST rods EVER, for my casting style, for throwing big top water flies like PoleDancers and big AirHeads, Crease Flies and Ben Byng Balsa poppers. Matched with the Rio OBS lines, either to match or one size up, (depending on the size of the fly) they are an amazing tool!! WOW!
Thanks you Sage.

They're broomsticks, but sometimes you want a broomstick.

I have a 6126 too. Terry, what lines are you using on yours?

The Rage 410 is my go to line. Also use the Rio Scandi 400, however, the old Steelhead Scandi 385 feels better to me. Heavy stuff, Rio Skagit Max Short 450. Have you tried the new Beulah Aero? Great casting mid belly line designed by Travis Johnson. I have a 6/7 demo if you want to give it a test.

Senior moment: checked and see that I should have said Rio Scandi 420 and Rage 450.

Has anyone fished the 796-4 Method? Single hand rods over 9 feet have a tendency to get noodlely in my experience, as if the rod designer just added more length to the tip section and the rod was an afterthought after working on the 9 foot model. Trying to decide between it and the 790-4.

The easy answer would be to go cast both, but I don't have a shop in Arizona that carries both rods.
