Ripping a streamer through a shallow bay or flat wasn't the best way to fish Davis this trip, as most of the trout were holding in a little deeper water as Pete and Jon mention in a early post. Some days i had to backpacked and float tubed 3 miles to find a tug, and some days i would catch 2 and some days i would catch 7, most of the trout i caught was on a floating line and a marabow streamer, the best time to catch a trout for me was high noon to 3 pm in the back bays, also a point at Lighting Tree had a top water evening grab.
