Ran up to the Truckee for a half day yesterday morning. Not a whole lot of water in the river but the temps were great between 50 and 54 depending on where/when I checked. Fishing was pretty good for healthy 12-14" rainbows.
Reaching down to land a fish, I had a fly box fall out and float away quicker than I could catch it. So if you happen to find a C&F fly box with some poorly tied dry flies in it please shoot me a pm or call the number on the box (if it's still there). It would be somewhere downstream of the Hirschdale bridge. I would be happy to offer some compensation.
