Walt is in the movie "River of a Lost Coast".

He fly fished our Northern California Steelhead rivers right after World War 2 when they were still really good.

He worked with Jimmy Green and Les Eichorn to develop Fenwick fly rods and later Sage.

Walt worked at the Fenwick Fly Fishing School back near West Yellowstone, MT.

Sounds like a good guy, don't know him at all, but I bet he has some stories to tell!

Can he sit in an anchored boat and fish still?

No, he is 94 and has a problem with his feet but does have hundreds of wonderful stories.

I am sure if anyone who fly fishes called him or went by for a visit he would love it.

His brain is still better than mine......

I guess Walt moved on to another place and we don't have a contact for him right now but will be working on it.

Went by to see Walt today.

Boy, he doing well.

His brain is prefect, he just has trouble walking at 94.

Andy Guibord and Joe Shirshac visited Walt a few weeks ago.

Walt was a master baker in the US Navy in WWII in the south Pacific and then later was a master baker in a famous baker here in Sacramento.

Walt also taught fly fishing schools for Fenwick, Sage and Orvis.

Give him a call if you get a chance.
