Striperfest is always held on the 1st Saturday in November and this year it's on November 1st. It will again be hosted by the Sugar Barge Resort and marina up on the levee at the SB Event Center, same place it's been held for the last several years. The event will start at 4:00 p.m., BBQ will be served shortly after so don't be late.
Format change:
Striperfest committee members agreed that we could stand to raise a few more dollars than we did last year so we decided to sell tickets at the event. Here’s how it will now work:
Attendance will still remain at $50 a plate, per person and each person attending will also get one raffle ticket, same as last year. This year though we will be selling additional raffle tickets only to those who attend the event (no outside sales). Anyone who wishes will be able to purchase additional raffle tickets at $20 each, up to a maximum of 5 tickets each – or $100 worth.
There have been many who have expressed that they would have liked to have been able to have purchased additional raffle tickets. We think this format is a good compromise.
Noel will be posting the growing list of raffle prizes shortly. Stay tuned since I believe we will have another outstanding raffle; and of course the food and camaraderie is superb.
See you at the `Fest; and remember, Striperfest has done more for our California stripers than any other organization. Your support is needed and appreciated.
