I'm happy to say that Kiene's Fly Shop is now selling one of the finest "stripping baskets" made. If you fly fish from a boat, you'll want one or two of these to control and avoid line tangles. No more stepping on stripped lines. No more setting up at every move as you change locations. Heavier than all the foam buckets on the market there's no need to add water for extra ballast to prevent tipping unless you want it to cool or lubricate your lines. Rubber non-marking feet add stability and prevent sliding as well.
Both Standard and Custom Cut models are available in several color choices to match your boat or it's trim, including the new "camo" colors in brown and green.
If you've fished striped bass recently with captains Maury Hatch or Hogan Brown you may have already used one of these fine baskets.

Get ready for the delta striper season this fall with one of the best stripping baskets on the market.

Glad to see Kiene's Carrying them. I love mine! They have been great all summer for my clients as well. Best stripping baskets I have ever had in my boat.

Are these different from the other brand that is out?

Scott,
To my knowledge the only "other brand" that comes close to these was made by Stan Pleskunas. Most of the others are made of light weight foam and require water to be added for ballast to prevent tipping. These are definitely a heavier model that adds stability while the rubber feet prevent skidding and sliding in a rolling boat.

I have been using Tony B LRD Buckets for the last 4 years.
I have 2 on my Sled and 2 on my skiff.
What makes them different ?
For one they are manufactured to my custom specs right here in Northern California.
Two, they were ready within a week of when I placed my order.
Three, they are priced right compared to the competition.
Four, they are tough as could be.
Five, the two piece bottom can come out if you don't care for the spikes and left in if you do.
Six, they are now sold at the best freak'n fly shop in the western USA!
Oh Yea, My clients Love Them!

It sure looks like a nice basket but at $235.00 I'm going to have to give that some extra thought...
