identifing these fly reel spools

first spool is 4 3/16 across & 1 1/4 wide, second spool is 3 3/8 across & 1 1/2 wide, third spool is 3 1/4 across & 3/4 wide

The first spool is for a JW Young fly reel that was made in England. Sage and Shakespeare both had this reel made for them by JW Young.

Second spool is for a Pflueger 'Supreme' salt water big game fly reel. It is anti reverse with a disc drag. These came in two sizes and was made in the USA.


Both are for older fly reels that are no longer made.

To identify the size you would measure the diameter and width of the spool.
