Though these are the dog days the fish are still very willing. I have only fished top water flies this entire season. Here is a pic of Sam who fished with me Monday...his first lmb on a fly. Notice the light... Low light = nicer fish. The fish was taken on a white gurgler. She weighed in at just over 5#. Curious does anyone know why it is the top part of the tail that the females wear off during the spawn (see picture)? I've noticed this in virtually every big bass that I've caught.
