Not very many being caught. They are there though. Opening day I think something like 15 fish were caught. In my opinion I think the fish will be coming up a bit late. Heck at Ft. Brag I think last year they were catching quite a few fish my mid may this year it was mid June almost.

I think if you might catch them from a anchored boat at the mouth of the Feather River or the mouth of the Yuba River?

Really early AM is best.

Sooner in the run and lower down in the drainage should produce fresher fish.

The valley river salmon season has been off to an extremely slow start for the gear heads too!

I think there are fish in the system and they are being caught by fly fishing people lower in the system. tanks have been seen often, not just in Ukraine

:-)

hold on baby it is a hell of a fight

The Feather is like a bath tub with water temps at 71 degrees. Most of the best guides that take guys up to the outlet scored a big ZERO- ZIP _ Nada. Yes, there were a couple caught but with that water being so warm there's nothing to bring the fish up.

Everyone up here is saying the season will be late and naturally when the temps come down the fishing will pick up.

water temps on the sac yesterday around Butte City reached 70degrees by 4pm...I am assuming the same situation on the Sac.

They are still doing well in the ocean.

Bill this past Monday around Ft Brag was the last day of decent fishing. Water temps in the high 50's and low 60's have moved in and made the salmon bite slow down quite a bit. Out there it seems salmon like the low 50's for temps. Also the bait seems to move.
