Heard a report that water temperatures on the Pit are high enough to raise concerns about fish post-release mortality. Can anyone confirm the high temperatures or otherwise give a stream report?

Addendum: was planning to do a weekend trip to the Pit, but will adjust my plans accordingly if the conditions are poor.

Thanks

The latest report I saw from 7/7/14 was good fishing in Pit 3, 4 and 5. Call a couple of the fly shops up there for more detailed info. The Fly Shop or Ted Fay fly shop are great local sources for that area.

Yep - the Pit was real warm compared to last year

Fish didn't work the runs as much as they were holed up under the banks

Caught a few in Pit 4 stretch, including half a dozen in the 14-16" range. Water was really warm. Wet wading felt nice. Black/brown rubber legs and any dropper in black, orange, or green/black worked well.
