Took a board member out yesterday to one of my local haunts yesterday. I promised some dry fly action, and it didn't disappoint. With his casting on point he enjoyed massive success picking apart the ample pocket water and slicks. He landed a larger brown, in the 17" range, which is a very nice fish for the water we were on. We fished runs thoroughly with a single dry until they stopped responding and then ran a big foam dry through with two tungsten nymphs in a indicator fashion. I call it "sterilizing" the run, pretty effective method.
As long as they keep that water a'flowin fishing will be good.
I am still accepting some river orientations here and there, $200 for a morning session or $325 for all day all inclusive.
I am gone Wednesday-wednesay and home thurs-tues so I have 6 days off in blocks.
